Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality control of industrial processes to ensure that material supply is sufficient for production demand taking corrective action when needed. The work is directly related to the management or general business operations of TPI and primary duty includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance including the ability to make significant decisions that directly effect financial affairs and profitability of the company, and has authority to negotiate and bind the TPI, on significant matters involving quality of up to $500 without prior approval of management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Must understand and follow TS16949 and IATF16949 systems; Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, tests, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component; Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records. Instrumental in obtaining and maintaining IATF certification; Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes; Responsible for document control for the facility and creating work procedures to meet QS standards; Reviews all purchased products or components and provide input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor; Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures; Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities; Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management; Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities; Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management; Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities; Responsible for assisting Touchstone Precision, Inc. with the TS implementation and on-going certification to include document control and quality procedures. Maintains a working knowledge of IATF 16949:2016 and industry quality assurance codes and standards; Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Develops project plans and coordinates projects; Manages difficult or emotional customer situations and responds promptly to customer needs. Obtains customer feedback to improve service. Visits customers to resolve any quality issues and/or concerns; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Follows company policies and procedures; Observes safety and security procedures. Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized; Flexibility to work in a variety of jobs; Regular and predictable attendance; The ability to complete an assigned task in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness and must understand and follow all safety rules; Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers, supervisors, and others on Company premises; Work well under production pressures; Read and follow work instructions; Must work the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks.
