Who We Are

The Industrial Development Board of Auburn, AL, is responsible for the industrial growth of the city through the expansion of manufacturing operations. Our organization was born from the partnership between the city’s Economic Development Department and Industrial Development Board.

We use the four existing technology parks in Auburn, AL, to recruit manufacturing companies based on present market needs, focus areas, economic impact, and investment models. In addition, we utilize high-tech job recruitment aids and focused workforce development efforts to push our city to the forefront of the state, the nation, and the world.

Our efforts are meant to improve the quality of life among residents by investing in local industries and empowering the workforce. This is how we continue to create special partnerships with various business organizations and generate career opportunities.

We have invested in the city’s industrial development and have seen significant growth of more than $2.4 billion since 1994. Our diverse industries are built around the goal of nurturing small to medium tech-based and value-adding companies that manufacture for the aerospace, automotive, pharmaceutical, machining, product packaging, and other sectors.
