Job Functions: Analyze materials after heat treatment and improve their heat treatment conditions; Monitor and maintain production machines to run within specification including replacement of tools, set ups, and adjustment of jigs; Implement CNC program and provide training to operators for CNC program working in production area; Perform the 5S activities for the production initiative and improvement efficiency; Maintain the quality control requirements in production line for the high quality continuously; Manage the machines to ensure all products are within standard specifications in accordance with blue print and machining standards; Improve product quality by managing replacement of tools and inserts; Train/maintain operators and specialists to run lines and cooperate; Investigate defective parts from the production line and make improvements on products; Support technical and machine issues; Write detailed reports on production issues and daily checklist; Analyze Seohan Auto USA’s production requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing production systems; Communicate effectively at various levels within the production organization; Communicate effectively with internal/external customers and suppliers; Negotiate and cooperate properly with all other departments to produce parts; Maintain the good condition of heat treatment quenching oil and cooling water on every production lines, adjust quenching oil density ratio, adjust pressure value of heat treated pump, and inspect for heat treated sample; Identify and analyze daily production quantities, productivities, unfulfilled reasons, downtime, and any issues on production lines by shifts; Manage stocks and purchase Heat treatment coils, machining inserts, and various oil; Hold conferences with companies related to production lines about line issues or improvements; Identify current stock and usage on production parts, and confer with production plan department and materials department about production plans. Primary Job Responsibilities: (1) Plan and Perform production procedures: Timely response to production line breakdown, and resolve problems and issues in a safe, efficient, and effective manner; Provide support in a variety of industrial or manufacturing technology skill areas including Heat Treatment, Machining, Tooling, Mechanical, Cutting fluid, Hydraulics and other industrial processing systems; Follow company safety policies and procedures, such as safety shoes, safety glasses and lock out tag out (When you enter into the machine, you need to lock out to not to operate the machine on the outside.); Perform work in assigned areas at production plant; Comply with and promote company practices in the areas of SQP (Safe, Quality, Productivity); Cooperate with Team Members, Team Leader, Group Leader, Specialists and office workers from the other departments in Seohan Auto USA Corp.; Manage to coordinate production workflow, minimize downtime, and provide effective countermeasures for defective products; Analyze materials after heat treatment and improve their heat treatment conditions (If surface hardness of heat treated part is over the specification, need to adjust tempering process dwell time or adjust density of heat treatment quenching oil); Support and encourage professional team work between production members; Build and maintain good working relationships with Team Member; Interact with others to resolve quality issues and implement education/containment procedures for repetitive quality defects; notify management and affected teams or departments in a timely manner as required; Be flexible in work to support continuous improvement activities that will ensure personal and company growth; Review root cause and corrective action; Partner with production control during product development phase to ensure that products and processes meet all quality requirements; Perform training on procedures and sampling plans as required; Perform validation of processes, equipment and test methods as needed; Perform internal and supplier qualification audits as required; Evaluate production equipment tooling performance and conduct preventive maintenance to ensure smooth operation. (2) Support production team`s initiatives and directions: Evaluate the production process to observe material reactions and advise production workers on quality control, helping to manufacture products that meet industry standards; Formulate daily inspection check sheet for team leaders and specialists on production line and train them to do proper inspection the parts; Hold conferences with companies related to production lines about line issues or improvements (Oil, grease, heat treatment machine, coil, machining inserts, machine, automatic machine company, etc); Actual line test for improvements (compare tool life when using a new insert, and Heat treatment results when using an advanced heat-treated coil); Monitor and maintain production machine to run within specification including replacement of tools, set ups, and adjustment of jigs to enhance process efficiency and technology for production process; Execute action plans to achieve the targeted production operating rates; Assist production team with managing key production indicators such as down time, operating ratio, managing skill, and computerized system; Identify and analyze daily production quantities, productivities, unfulfilled reasons, downtime, and any issues on production lines by shifts; Formulate Line Manual and train team members and specialists by production lines how to operate the lines, adjust machining value, assemble, and deal with the alarm; Analyze and assist production specialists with shift to shift follow up activities; Operate appropriate production tools to define and manage or identify the root cause of failure on inserts or manufacturing parts; Develop, test, and implement configuration changes to production line in order to meet functional and technical requirements; Support production team with technical/engineering regarding customer complaints; Conference with production crews to discuss their operational needs of engineering programs and provide suitable technology-based solutions; Advise production workers on the repair of production equipment, use various management software to modify properties of materials, and develop strategies for minimizing production costs; Provide each department of Seohan Auto USA with production solutions such as ERP, MES, and package selection. Identify current stock and usage on production parts, and confer with production plan department and materials department about production plans; Evaluate ERP and MES based manufacturing execution management systems landscape for each production line of Seohan Auto USA; Examine and analyze operational costs of Seohan USA in order to maximize profitability, researching and making suggestions for the best methods of providing production support; Formulate and deploy long-term strategic plans for Seohan USA to help the company acquire and enable efficient and cost-effective production processing methods and equipment; Monitor the automotive parts market trends to keep up with changes in engineering standards, safety requirements, and prices on materials, as well as procedures involved in providing engineering services; Calculate and award monthly incentives to plant workers to increase their work efficiencies by analyzing daily production quantities, productivities, attendances, etc.; Manage stocks and purchase Heat treatment coils, machining inserts, quenching oil, hydraulic oil, cleaning oil and cutting oil; Produce and purchase subparts that are needed for production lines (Line Name Plate, Cabinet for Rework, Ladder for Refill balls). Occasional Job Responsibilities: Pick-up and delivery of repair and project parts; including coordination of ordered materials such as impaired heat treatment coils; Develop and maintain production project information in central database for controlling production resources, creating detailed comprehensive test plan and coordinating with quality control testing; Periodically change to new heat treatment quenching oil and cooling water for both tanks on every production lines, check the quenching oil density and also adjust its density at proper ratio to put more oils or water. To operate the heat treatment line after changing oils, adjust pressure value of heat treated pump, and inspect for heat treated sample. For new development of line, prepare for production such as producing test samples with various heat treatment conditions and machining inserts for QC test.
