AUBURN, Ala.- Seohan Auto USA, a Tier 1 automotive supplier to Hyundai and Kia, is once again expanding its Auburn operation. The company is investing $13.5 million in its two Auburn facilities, allowing Seohan to begin producing components for hybrid and electric vehicles. Seohan anticipates creating 12 new jobs through this expansion.
“It’s an exciting time to be in the automotive manufacturing business,” said Seohan Auto USA President Myon Han. “As our Korean clients increase their production of hybrid and electric vehicles here in the U.S., we’re excited to participate in the electric vehicle market by expanding our capabilities to supply these manufacturers with the solutions they need.”
Seohan has had a steady track record of growth since coming to Auburn. The company’s first Auburn location in the Auburn Industrial Park opened in 2008, and its second location in Auburn Technology Park West opened in 2014. Seohan most recently expanded in 2019 when the company invested $28.55 million in both of its facilities, increasing the localization of machined parts for Hyundai and Kia.
“Congratulations to Seohan on another expansion,” Auburn Mayor Ron Anders said. “Seohan has been a wonderful addition to Auburn’s industrial family and is evidence of the key work being done right here in our community to support innovation in the automotive sector. We look forward to seeing Seohan’s continued success in the years to come.”
