Job Title: Warehouse Lead Department: Warehouse/Shipping
Reports To: Production Control Manager FLSA Status: Non- Exempt

Summary: Coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and
outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties. Direct and
coordinate activities of shipping and receiving department. Responsible for shipping and receiving goals
and performing the following duties personally: including the Department Manager, Assistant Manager
and direction of the Human Resources staff. The work is directly related to the management or general
business operations of IPEX and primary duty includes the supervision of 2 or more employees on a
regular basis. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records
on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties:

 Must understand and follow ISO9001 system and IATF 16949 standards.
 Reviews shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine
shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping
and receiving schedules.
 oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness,
and condition of shipments. Following Procedures
 Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or
contacts outside service facility for repair.
 Directs the movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage, work areas,
and designated staging locations
 Compiles records of the shipping requirements.
 Negotiate shipping charges.
 Prepares the bill of ladings for all shipments.
 Properly issues written and oral instructions while doing so in a timely manner.
 Properly relay information to upper management pertaining to your department.
 Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
 Responsible for warehouse layout to maximize the use of available space.
 Responsible for incoming raw materials, including designating allotted space in the warehouse.
 Responsible to keeping up with current raw material inventory
 Responsible for keeping warehouse and outside dock clean and organized.
 Maintains records of the shipment of products.

 Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
 Follows policies and procedures.
 Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized.
 Perform monthly inventory
 Supports the procurement function by monitoring raw material levels, advising and/or
issuing PO’s.
 Must have regular and predictable attendance.
 Observes safety and security procedures. Reports potentially unsafe acts or conditions.
 Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized, referring to 5S.

Skills/Abilities
 Knowledge of ISO9001 / IATF16949.
 Excellent time management skills with the ability to assign and delegate tasks.

 Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
 Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and/or Experience
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential

Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to five years
related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Manufacturing
software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

 Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods; walk; sit;

Physical Demands
 Medium work that includes adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment
 Frequently exposed to machine shop equipment, moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical
shock, chemical lubricants and oils.
 May be occasionally exposed to high, precarious places.
 The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
