We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team. The
successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our workplace is safe, OSHA compliant and
healthy for all employees. The Safety Coordinator will work closely with HR, Management,
Employees and Contractors to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state,
and federal regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks.
Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees and management.
Maintain safety records and documentation.
Collaborate with management and employees to identify and mitigate potential hazards
and risks.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in safety management.
To Enforce that contractors and ILJIN employees are following OSHA regulated safety measures
Everyone is wearing the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
Will be able to complete the mandatory Forklift training and certification process
Will be able to train and issue locks for the Lock out Tag out procedures
Assist HR with safety training and procedures
Maintain the SDS (Safety Data Sheets) books
Maintain Injury reporting and work with WC Carrier
Maintain the OSHA 300 Injury reporting Logs
Maintain the Fire Extinguishers and work with Vendor on replacements of empty extinguishers
etc.
Maintain first aid station
Maintain Safety checks on Eye Wash Stations, Ladders, Fall Protection, Forklift etc.
Create and maintain employee boot and safety glasses program
Label all chemicals inside the facility with OSHA regulated labels
Participate in New hire Safety orientation
Escort visitors and contractors onto the Production floor and educate them on ILJIN safety
practices.
Work with Maintenance on Mandatory posting on machinery, waste disposal and proper
chemical storage.
Assist with any other projects or duties assigned by Senior Members of Management
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science
Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety management.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
