1. Job Objective
The Production Team lead is responsible for following ALL production control systems
and activities.

2. Competence/Responsibility

  • Operate and monitor production machinery for the manufacturing of automotive parts, ensuring machines run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Inspect parts and materials for quality, ensuring they meet company standards and specifications.
  • Lead the production team to meet all production standards and daily production numbers.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on machinery, making sure all equipment is in optimal condition.
  • Follow production schedules and procedures to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues with equipment, escalating complex problems to maintenance teams when necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and following all safety regulations.
  • Document production data, including output numbers, machine settings, and quality checks, in compliance with company reporting procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to improve productivity, reduce waste, and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing manufacturing processes, reducing downtime, and improving product quality.
  • Participate in regular training and development activities to stay updated on new machinery, technologies, and manufacturing processes.

3.1 Organizational Integration

The position holder reports to the Production Supervisor / Manager

Subordinates

  • Production team members

3.3 Relations:

Internal: lead and interact with production, materials and management. External: active interaction with outside customers and auditors.

3.4 Additional Activities

  • Will be required to operate Forklift
  • Will be required to work overtime when needed

4.  Education / Experience

Three (3) years’ experience as a Production team lead in an automotive manufacturing setting preferred; excellent communication skills

5.  Skills

  • Effective organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and plan work
  • Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team

  • Previous forklift experience

7. Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Also required to stand; walk; use hands, handle or feel; reach with hands or arms and commonly operate pallet jacks. The employee will occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs.
