Job Responsibilities
• Monitors and determines manufacturing costs and outlay, quality and quantity of goods
produced, production methods, tooling applications, and ensures the effective use of
production hours, skills, machines, and facilities
• Participates in planning production schedules, technical requirements and
manufacturing controls related to all manufacturing operations
• Coordinates operations-related programs such as manufacturing methods, cost
reduction initiatives, continuous improvement activities, preventive and regular
maintenance, training, staffing, safety and housekeeping
• Measures company key performance indicators (KPI’s) and ensures that scorecards are
maintained
• Administers company rules, regulations and policies
• Participates in the budgeting process, to include monitoring and reporting on
manufacturing performance as it relates to budgetary guidelines
• Participates in the selection and acquisition of capital equipment for the production
area
• Develops detailed plans for new designs and products
• Makes determinations for equipment, staff and training needs
• Leads research and development projects that produce new designs, products and
processes.
• Checks their team’s work for technical accuracy
• Coordinates work with other managers and staff
• All other duties as assigned
Job Skills Requirements
• Proven work experience as an Engineering Manager or similar role
• Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems
• Communication skills for overseeing staff and working with other management
personnel
• Detail-oriented with the ability to catch minor errors which can result in major problems
• Math skills, including calculus and other advanced mathematics
• Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules
simultaneously
• Relevant training and/or certifications as an Engineering Manager
• Skills to operation assembly line
Educational Requirements
• Business Administration or related field or equivalent education and experience
required
Experience Requirements
• Minimum of five years of manufacturing Engineering experience
Software Skills Required
• MS-Excel
• MS-PowerPoint
• MS-Word
• MS-Outlook
• CAD
• PLC SKILLS preferred
• Department Specific Software as required
Other Information
• Position may require domestic or international travel.
• Flexibility in working hours to include nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Overtime required as needed.
• Must be available to rotate to other shifts as needed.
