Job Objectives:
Research materials and technologies to drive improvements.
Mold and tooling design and development to improve production processes.
Activities to shorten cycle time and improve optimal material selection.
Improved efficiency of new/existing injection molding machines and facilities.
Increase productivity by implementing process control, automation, or tool modifications.
Identify root causes at production site.
Execute DOE’s process capability studies to support production validation of all new products.
Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding project issues.
Assists with short-term and long-term planning for capital expenditures related to future production
requirements Leads projects related to new capital implementation.
Maintain vigilance to identify new potential technologies for the company.
Role and Responsibilities:
Develop training materials to implement new processes and equipment.
Develop and continuously update process flow, control plan and process FMEA.
Production support for technical issues.
Operation of multifunctional team to perform projector.
Advice on managing assigned project cost related issues.
Make recommendations to optimize mold/part design as needed.
Initiate project activities to reduce scrap/reject rates.
Train production staff on process improvement and problem solving methods.
Help implement corrective action for daily production related issues
Maintain complete and accurate records of assigned project activities in accordance with established
quality systems.
Participates as a team member in assigned projects using established APQP project management
tools.
Create and maintain documentation of all internal processes, inspection criteria, bills of materials, and
other manufacturing and quality records.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, electrical or industrial).
Experience using computer software applications (MS Office, Windows operating system).
More than one year of relevant work experience in manufacturing related to automation
applications.
Prove performance requiring mechanical troubleshooting and creative ability.
Experience interpreting or using 2D Auto CAD drawings.
A demonstrated ability to plan and organize.
Demonstrate ability to plan and organize assigned tasks
Ability to work for multicultural teams
