About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Plastic Extrusion Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain extrusion equipment to produce high-quality plastic products. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
· Set up, operate, and monitor plastic extrusion machines according to production specifications.
· Adjust machine settings (temperature, speed, pressure) to maintain product quality.
· Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet dimensional and quality standards.
· Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning dies and troubleshooting minor mechanical issues.
· Load raw materials into hoppers and maintain consistent material flow.
· Record production data such as material usage, output, and machine settings.
· Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
· Communicate with supervisors and maintenance teams to resolve issues quickly.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Previous experience in plastic extrusion or manufacturing preferred.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production instructions.
· Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to lift to [50 lbs.] and stand for long periods.
· Strong attention to detail and quality.
· Forklift certification is a plus.
