Heads up! We are a small start-up company. You would be helping build out a technical team and starting as a key foundational player in the growth and operational maturity of Tech Wolf. If you apply, you must be located in the Auburn/Opelika area. We are not seeking applicants who are willing to relocate or travel to the area. Reliable transportation is a requirement.

The below responsibilities and qualifications are just guidelines for you to better understand what might be asked of you. It is in no way extensive. Every day will be different. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE JOB. You will be coming to the office each and every day. You will be provided a company vehicle to perform all onsite tasks with. These can be frequent. Otherwise, you will be providing remote support from our office.

To be frank, there are a lot of moving parts to this job. You MUST be able to manage multiple tasks and your time wisely. Be able to meet short deadlines. The hours aren’t always 8AM to 5PM even though that’s a standard day. You will sometimes be required to work after 5PM or before 8AM. Not a constant, but will be expected. The majority of the out-of-band work hours can be done remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. We are a tech company, but the core of what we provide is customer service. This must and will always be the driver of our business.
  • This position requires onsite work at customer locations, but the majority of the work will be remote assistance provided from our office.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware, software, and network-related issues through remote software and in-person.
  • Manage multiple Microsoft 365 tenancies through CIPP and/or Lighthouse.
  • Improve the MSS of M365 tenants.
  • Roll out and maintain Intune deployments.
  • MDM management and deployment.
  • Migration of emails from other platforms to M365.
  • Configure and maintain Sophos XGS firewalls.
  • Understand and manage Teams.
  • Understand and manage SharePoint/OneDrive.
  • Familiar with Entra ID and on-prem AD.
  • Deploy and manage EDR/MXDR.
  • Deploy and manage SIEM.
  • Deploy and manage SASE.
  • Deploy and manage Zero Trust software.
  • Deploy and manage several SaaS security softwares.
  • Deploy and manage password and MFA tools.
  • Assist with performing Cybersecurity Risk Assessments.
  • Assist with installation of networking equipment and cabling – APs, switches, firewalls, patch panels, UPS, etc.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and peripherals.
  • Manage and support IT infrastructure.
  • Deploy and maintain cloud print servers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain IT projects and initiatives.
  • Respond to end-user support requests through various channels and provide a timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations in the provided documentation software.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
  • Document. Document. Document.
  • Generate SOPs.
  • Track all time in PSA.
  • Deal with the occasional faulty printer.
  • You will be helping support various types of software for clients. You will also need to interface and liaison with software vendors to provide resolutions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working for an MSP is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred but not required. Would rather have experience over a degree.
  • Proven experience as a Level 2 Help Desk Technician or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, Intune, Autopilot, and the rest of the Microsoft Ecosystem.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
  • Proficiency in Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Mac OS.
  • Experience with IT service management tools such as RMM/PSA.
  • Familiarity with VPN technologies and firewall configurations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written.
  • Strong timekeeping skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Highly-Organized.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Self-motivator.

Pay: $45,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
