[About the Role]

KFTA, a premier Tier-1 automotive supplier specializing in carbon canisters, is expanding its footprint following a successful GM PSA audit. We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering Liaison to lead our engineering localization for GM. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between our KFTA, HQ (KFTEC) in Korea and GM’s engineering teams in Detroit.

[Key Responsibilities]

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for GM engineering teams in Detroit.
  • Lead the “Engineering Localization Roadmap” to establish local design and validation capabilities within 1 year.
  • Communicate technical requirements, design changes, and validation results between KFTA(KFTEC HQ) and GM.
  • Participate in GM technical reviews and ensure all engineering deliverables meet GM standards (GMW).
  • Provide on-site support at GM facilities and manage engineering issues in real-time.

[Qualifications]

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Chemical Engineering.
  • 3-7 years of experience in automotive engineering (Tier-1 or OEM experience preferred).
  • Direct experience with GM engineering processes and systems is a huge plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts .
  • Proactive mindset to build local engineering infrastructure from the ground up.
