The best candidate would have the following skills, competencies, and experience: 2+ years of Quality Engineering experience; Degreed engineer is preferred but equivalent experience and knowledge is acceptable; Automotive or aerospace experience preferred though must have manufacturing; Experience with using CMM a plus; Experience with customer first article inspection and /or PPAP requirements; Experience with machining, automation, fixturing, tooling, injection molding, casting, foundry, plastics, metals, weld, heat treat preferred; Process audits and experience with AS9100, IATF16949 and other manufacturing quality systems preferred; Experience with parts from cradle to grave and the life of the program; Interface with customers and suppliers; engineering and design; sales; and Sr. managers; Must have the ability to work well with others on all levels; Experience with inspection, audits, records, documentation, compliance, some continuous improvement, root cause analysis, corrective action; Some travel to customers/suppliers as needed.
