Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacturing based on customer demands and sales forecasts to ensure that material supply is sufficient for production demand taking corrective action when needed. The work is directly related to the management or general business operations of IUM and primary duty includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance including the ability to make significant decisions that directly affect financial affairs and profitability of the company. Must understand and follow ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 systems; Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders; Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, inspection and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers; Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects; Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions; Prepares production reports; Responsible for resolving shipping/receiving problems and issues; Works with President, Manager’s and Supervisor’s to plan and schedule work flow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Follows company policies and procedures; Observes safety and security procedures. Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized; Flexibility to work in a variety of jobs; Regular and predictable attendance; The ability to complete an assigned task in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness and must understand and follow all safety rules; Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers, supervisors, and others on Company premises; Work well under pressures; Read and follow work instructions; Perform repetitive work; Must work the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks. Must be available (especially during regular business hours or shifts) to communicate with co-workers, supervisors, clients, vendors and any other person or organization with whom interaction is required to accomplish work and project goals; Performs other related duties as required.
