Position: Quality Engineer / QMS Coordinator
Reports To: Quality Manager
Job Duties
Trains associates on quality alerts and training on gauges.
Review quality documentation on jobs running to assure conformance.
Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
Assists shipping audits and receiving inspections when required.
Evaluates production set-ups to assure quality requirements are met.
Trains and monitors QC Techs in the use of statistical techniques and in the use of gauges and
fixtures.
Assure the effectiveness, and skill of the quality techs in assuring the quality of the parts made in
the production line (stop/start, approval of parts…)
Reviews gauge and fixture studies as required
Inspection customer samples and prototypes.
Conducts gauge and fixture studies are required.
Assists production floor personnel in the use of statistical techniques and in the use of gauges
and fixtures.
Support continuous improvements activities. (8D, CAPA)
Quarantines non-conforming material and maintains records.
Performs internal audits as required.
Maintains and develops Document Control System.
Supporting APQP process/PPAP submission.
Education & Experience
Excellent decision, communication, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated commitment and ability to motive others.
IATF 16949/ISO Internal Auditing preferred
Experience with quality inspection equipment including go/no go, pin gauges, calipers, etc.
Ability to read and understand complicated blue prints desired
Ability to understand and analyze SPC data (histograms, run charts, capability studies, etc.)

Understanding of GD&T preferred
Understating of gauge metrology preferred
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
PPI/Lean Experience preferred
Education
Associates Degree
At least three years of relevant industrial quality experience
