Job Title: Industrial Electrical Engineer

Summary
The Industrial engineer will provide support to the Engineering department at I-PEX USA Manufacturing,
Inc. through leadership on various data collection, continuous improvement, cost saving, waste reduction
and troubleshooting activities. The Industrial engineer is expected to allocate more than 50% of the work
timings to be on the floor (Gemba) while also being responsible for some paperwork. On the job training
will be offered to help mold different advanced engineering skills into the Engineer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Individual responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Must understand and follow ISO9001 system and IATF16949 requirements.
Sustain continuous improvement by implementing the PDCA cycle.
Value the Three Reals Philosophy: Actual place, Actual part and Actual situation.
It means going to the site, make a direct observation and determine the facts to solve a
problem.
Designs methods for maintaining or increasing production levels while improving production
costs, yields, quality, and safety.
Troubleshoots process problems and identifies solutions which reduce downtime and
conserve maintenance costs.
Monitors process equipment to identify potential errors and develops solutions to eliminate
the reoccurrence of those problems.
Designs and conducts plant trials to determine performance capabilities.
Develops and updates process procedures to ensure that documentation is accurate and
understandable.
Determines the test methods, procedures, parts, and equipment needed to implement
engineering changes.
Determines the layout of piping, equipment, and utilities for engineering changes.
Interfaces with all levels of management and employees to gather information and provide
guidance for implementation of improvements.
Electrical- able to identifies and troubleshoot electrical issue and problem. Able to correct
the problem and replace components.
Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner by gathering and analyzing information
and developing solutions.
Project Management – Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes
and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.
Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
Follows policies and procedures.
Observes safety and security procedures. Reports potentially unsafe conditions.
Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.E./ B.S.) or higher from four-year college or university; or five to seven years
related experience and/or training in a plastic injection molding manufacturing facility; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess basic knowledge and ability to use various
Design software, Internet software, Manufacturing software, Order processing systems, Spreadsheet
software and Word Processing software.

Majority of the job, especially on floor will be very hands on. The employee is frequently required to

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to machine shop equipment,
moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to chemical
lubricants and oils. May be occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work
environment is usually quiet. Proper PPE will be provided and is expected to be worn as per
requirements.
